Police Investigate Enchi Chieftaincy clash

The police have initiated investigations into the death of four people, following a violent Chieftaincy dispute in Enchi in the Western North Region of Ghana.

One other person was said to have suffered severe injury as a result of the violence.

The police in a press release stated that “security has since been beefed up in the palace, Enchi township and surrounding communities”.

“Investigation is ongoing, crime scene experts and reinforcement teams have been dispatched from the National Headquarters in Accra and surrounding police regions to support the Western North Regional police command”, according to the statement.

The police are however yet to make an arrest.
