MTN Ghana invests 93.2 million cedis in Social Responsibility

The Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh has disclosed that the Company has completed a hundred and fifty-nine social impact projects worth GHC 93.2 million through the MTN Ghana Foundation.

The projects have directly and indirectly impacted 4.5 million lives,  according to the CEO of MTN Ghana.

They are in the area of Health,  education and Economic empowerment.

The social impact projects include; Blood Bank at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, scholarship to needy but brilliant students, classroom blocks and ICT centers across the country among others.

“Our strategic intent is to lead digital solutions for Africa’s progress and this encapsulate everything that MTN is about to do”, Mr Adadevoh emphasized.

The MTN CEO made the disclosure at a media and stakeholder forum in Takoradi.

Participants were drawn from the media in the Central and Western Regions among other stakeholder institutions.

Mr. Adadevoh stated that “we are in a different state of our evolution, where all your interactions and applications should be about the MTN network”.

“We have all the intent to extend our connectivity and our services to everywhere you go”.

“MTN wants to be everywhere you go and at the same time everything you do, hence, the  revolution, which is bringing you new things that make you experience MTN much better”, Mr Adadevoh maintained.

The largest Africa’s telecommunication company, according to the CEO, is the only network in Ghana that has 4G in all the 260 districts.

He touched on the Ayoba platform and indicated that “as of now we  have about 2.5million users and over fifty micro apps on Ayoba most of which are built by local developers”.

Mr. Adadevoh stressed on the fact that “Ayoba is helping Small businesses to reach their target market” and urged all to take advantage of the platform amongst other MTN products to maximize growth.
