We need Business ideas to attract investors – C/R Minister
The Central Regional Miniater, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan has charged Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Region to initiate attractive business proposals to woo investors to the Region.
This according to her will create employment opportunities and in effect help alleviate poverty in the region.
“When Central Region is ranked as one of the poorest regions in Ghana, I just get sick and it is something that all of us should come together to refuse it because it is not just acceptable”, she added.

Mrs. Marigold Assan made this call at the Central Expo 2022 in Cape Coast.
It was held on the theme “Promoting Trade, Tourism and Investment in the Central Region- Challenges, Prospects and Solutions”.
The Central Regional Minister appealed to Stakeholders, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives(MMDCEs) as well as people in the Region to join hands to work together to change the narrative of the region.
Mrs. Marigold Assan applauded Ghana Exim for their keen interest to contribute to the development the Central Region.
The Head of Development and Project at Ghana Export Import Bank, Mr. Bright Evans Darko stated that under the government’s 1D1F flagship programme, a total of 122 factories have been financially supported by EXIM bank.
“Over 100million cedis has been invested in the 12 1D1F in the Central Region alone”, he revealed.
