The Municipal Education Director of Assin Fosu, Ms. Mercy Akua Lissar has made a passionate appeal to the general public, including Non Governmental Organizations to come to the aid of the directorate.

According to her, the outfit needs photo copy machines, building paints, and financial support for educational programmes to ensure effective teaching and learning.

She made the appeal when a New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Aspirant for Assin Central Constituency, Mr. Eric Kwadwo Baidoo alias “Brother” presented 2,000 mathematical sets among other educational materials to the Education Directorate.

The items are expected to be distributed to 1,909 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates sitting for their final exams within the municipality.

Miss Lissar commended Mr. Eric Baidoo for his benevolence, saying it will go a long way to help enhance the academic performance of the students.

She seized the opportunity to advise the students to desist from examination malpractices and to put in much effort to help them come out with flying colors.

Meanwhile, Mr. Eric Baidoo “Brother” believes quality education is the only asset that can make good citizens and future leaders, hence the motivation to present the educational materials to the students to help aid them in their exams.
