The Corporate Services Advisor of MTN in charge of Southern Ghana, Mr Kennedy ofosuhene has charged customers of MTN to watch out for fraudsters, since they change their modus operandi all the time to lure their victims.

He thus encouraged customers to endeavour to report all mobile fraud related issues to MTN customer care center or nearby offices of the Company.

Mr Ofosuhene made the call at a stakeholder engagement in Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West Municipality.

The forum was to educate customers about MTN’s products and services, mobile money fraud issues and network improvement initiatives among others.

It was also to gather feedback from customers to ensure an improved service delivery by MTN.

Participants included artisans and traders among others.

Mr Kennedy Ofosuhene hoped customers would be abreast of current trends on MTN’s products and services, together with the periodic education by the Company to help them avoid being defrauded.

Mr Richard Okley, who is in charge of the Agona Nkwanta Territory, took the gathering through the importance of using social media to maximise profits.

He disclosed that dressmakers, hairdressers among other artisans could use Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube to share their work, showcasing styles and designs to attract potential clients.

“Artisans can connect with other professionals for collaborative work or referrals”, he stressed.

Mr Okley added that such collaboration would help them stay updated on the latest styles, techniques, and ensure industry development.

“Some platforms allow clients to book appointments or purchase services directly. Establish yourself as an expert in your field, building trust and credibility through the use of social media”.

On MoMo fraud, Mr. Okley advised the gathering to “avoid calls from unknown persons who pretend to be working with MTN and only accept calls from 0244300000”.

Mr. Maxwell Krechie and Miss Mabel Awuah took turns to give testimonies of their experiences using Social Media for business.

They said they posted their work on Facebook and WhatsApp and had feedback from customers.
