Ekow Ewusi charges ex-convicts to be informants for the Police

The Chairman of the Council of Patrons for the Cape Coast North constituency of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mr. Horace Ekow Ewusi has charged the public especially ex-convicts to be informants for the Ghana Police Service in a bid to support the police to combat crime.

“Policing and combating crime is a shared responsibility between the police and the general public because the police rely on intelligence and information from the public for appropriate action”, he observed.

Mr. Ekow Ewusi made the call when he together with the Cape Coast North constituency executives led by Chairman Stephen Kojo Arhin stormed Abura Police Station in Cape Coast to donate logistics to the police officers as part of measures to ensure adequate security in the area.

Mr. Ekow Ewusi who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Ekow Ewusi foundation pledged to donate a vehicle to the Abura Police Station by the end of April 2023 to assist them combat crime in the constituency.

Mr. Ekow Ewusi vowed to lace his boots to assist Abura Police Station to combat crimes of all forms.

He promised to continue to make himself available to support the police in Cape Coast North constituency in diverse ways.

The Central Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Victor Adusah-Poku who received the items expressed appreciation to Ekow Ewusi and his team, indicating that the gesture would help them to reduce crime in the area.

Mr. Ekow Ewusi also took the team to Duakor, a suburb of Cape Coast North constituency to donate sewing machines and hair dryers to the needy.

He promised to reconstruct the collapsed bridge in the area to concrete steel bridge and name it after the Chief of Duakor, Torgbui Ayivi II.
