The Oguaa Traditional Council has imposed a fine of GHC 30,000 on a Cape Coast based radio presenter, Ato Trustworthy for bringing the name of the council into disrepute.
Also, he is expected to present three white male sheep to the council and render a public apology for two consecutive days after which his plea would be considered.
Ato Trustworthy was said to have belittled the Omanhen of Oguaa Traditional Area, Osaberima Dr Kwesi Atta II, amongst other chiefs in Cape Coast by calling them names on his social media programmes and tarnishing the image of Cape Coast as well.
The Traditional Council at an earlier meeting declined the plea of Ato Trustworthy and resolved to take the matter to the law court.
After a series of engagements and apologies from the Radio Presenter, the council decided to settle the matter the traditional way, hence, the fine.
The radio presenter is also expected to carry a white sheep from London Bridge to the Emitsimadze Palace to pacify the gods.
Addressing a gathering of chiefs and the media, when Ato Trustworthy, accompanied by an Anglican Priest called on the chiefs to render an apology again, the Omankyeame, Nana Benya on behalf of the council, admonished the radio presenter to adhere to the directive.
The Traditional Council however gave the radio presenter two weeks to fulfill the conditions.
