Ismaeel Nana Asamoah secures 100% approval as Ekumfi DCE

All 37 out of 38 Assembly members present at the confirmation of the President’s DCE nominee for the Ekumfi District in the Central Region of Ghana , voted for Ismaeel Nana Asamoah to approve his candidature as the District Chief Executive for the area.
He comes on board with years of experience in Assembly work, serving as a presiding member at the Ekumfi District Assembly and also two time vice chairman for the NDC in the area.
In his acceptance speech, the newly confirmed DCE, indicated that, the district, being rich in natural resources provided a solid foundation for growth and development.
“Today marks the beginning of a new session. A season of unity and progress”, he said.
The newly approved DCE pledged to focus his attention on all key areas of economic development to better the fortunes of Ekumfi.
”We will create a favorable business environment, leveraging our strategic locations of natural resources to attract investors”, Nana Asamoah disclosed.
He stated that, his outfit would prioritize infrastructural development to include roads, markets and storage facilities to improve the lives of the citizenry.
“We will promote agricultural entrepreneurship, supporting farmers and entrepreneurs to unlock the full potential of our district”.
Nana Asamoah stressed that job opportunities would be created for the young people in the area to empower them to contribute towards the development of the district.
“We will not only focus on formal sector employment but the informal sector as well and see how we can take advantage of job opportunities in that area”.
The newly approved DCE for Ekumfi called on all residents to join hands to drive development in the area.
He called for unity amongst the people in order to work towards a common goal to achieve development in Ekumfi.
Nana Asamoah hoped assembly members would identify the potentials in their respective areas and leverage the opportunities it provides.
The Central Regional Minister, Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere congratulated the assembly body for putting Ekumfi first and endorsing the DCE without accepting any favors.
He urged both the DCE and Member of Parliament for the area to discard selectivity and govern the area in unity, as exhibited by all the assembly members.
