Cape Coast: Police Arrest Man for allegedly Assaulting baby mama over child custody

A 40year old Samuel Bills Acquah, has been arrested by the police in Cape Coast for allegedly assaulting the woman, he has a child with over child custody.
A press release signed by Chief Inspector Isaac Evans Ettie of the Public Affairs Unit of the Central Regional Police Command, indicated that “Police received a report on March 27 at 9:30 pm that suspect Samuel Bills Acquah has assaulted his child’s mother at Bakano in Cape Coast”.
It further stated that “the Central Regional Police Command sighted a video that went viral and has arrested the 40-year-old man, Samuel Bills Acquah, for allegedly assaulting a 30-year-old woman in cape coast”.

“Police proceeded to the crime scene upon receipt of report and arrested the
suspect. He is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation”.
Suspect, Samuel Bills Acquah will be arraigned before court on Monday, March 30,
2026, for prosecution.

According to the police, initial investigation disclosed that the man wanted the child to move in with him, but the woman refused based on the fact that he (Samuel Acquah) had married another woman.
“The misunderstanding that led to the scuffle was who should live with the child?”
