C/R: MTN Awards 50 Agents, Merchants to Appreciate their Contribution

MTN Ghana has awarded fifty agents and merchant of the Mobile Money industry for their enormous contribution towards the Fintech industry and also supporting the company to drive the digital agenda in Ghana over the years.

The award winners received E-cash ranging from GHC2,000  to GHC20,000 to support their businesses.

They also received certificates as recognition for their effort and a reward for their hard work.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the award ceremony in Elmina, the Senior Manager for MTN Ghana in charge of Southwest, Prince Owusu Nyarko stated that the company’s platform was available 24/7. “So any business that would want to plug in and work, we are available as platform players to work with them”.

“If you look at the industry, there are partners, agent and merchants that we are working with. If you look at the ecosystem, we play our part as a platform available for them to work with and therefore we support them to grow their businesses”, he emphasized,.

The highest award winner under the agent category received GHC20,000, whilst the highest winner under the merchant category had GHC15,000.

The Southwest Senior Manager for MTN Ghana encouraged the award winners together with all the agents and merchants of MTN to continue to play their part to support the business to grow.
