ECG begins 4-day power outage schedule for parts of Accra East

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will today, Monday, August 10, begin a four-day planned maintenance exercise in parts of the Accra East Region.

The exercise, which runs until Thursday, August 13, will result in temporary power interruptions in affected communities from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

ECG says the maintenance is aimed at improving the reliability of electricity supply in the affected areas.

On Monday, August 10, the outage will affect Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Twumasiwaa Hospital, Ability and surrounding areas.

On Tuesday, August 11, customers in Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction and surrounding communities will be affected.

The Wednesday, August 12 schedule covers parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters and surrounding areas.

The final phase on Thursday, August 13, will affect Achimota School and surrounding areas.

ECG has urged customers in the affected communities to take note of the schedule and make the necessary preparations ahead of the temporary outages.

The company has apologised for the inconvenience, stressing that the exercise is necessary to improve electricity service delivery.
