Assin Darmang Accident injures Truck Driver, restricts vehicular movement

A heavy-duty truck carrying an ECG power engine traveling towards the Kumasi direction from Cape Coast has fallen on a charcoal-laden truck and a private car, severely injuring the driver behind the charcoal vehicle.
The incident occurred specifically at Assin Darmang Engresi in the Assin South District of the Central Region, restricting vehicular movement.
Drivers traveling from Accra to Assin Fosu, Obuasi and Cape Coast to Kumasi can take the following route, – Assin Manso to Ajumako Road, Anyinabrim to Asikuma Road, Assin Fosu to Twifo Praso through to Cape Coast.
The police say the roadblock will last Approximately three hours.
Meanwhile, some of the stranded passengers explaining their ordeal to Angel News Reporter Kwame Owusu Asante Shadrack attributed the incident to bad roads and called for swift action.
They thus called on the government to pay attention to the deplorable roads in the area, which had been causing severe motor accidents.
