Two persons have been shot and four others injured, when the NPP and the NDC clashed during a political campaign walk at Mamobi in Accra on Sunday.
The walk ended abruptly, after a group of motorbike riders believed to be from the NDC side confronted the supporters of the NPP.
According to an eyewitness, an altercation ensued between the NDC and the NPP supporters and one of the NPP supporters allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired several shots.
Two of the injured were rushed to the police hospital in Accra, while four others were being treated at the Mamobi hospital.
Police personnel were however deployed to contain the situation and to prevent further violence.
