49-year-old Fisherman arrested for allegedly defiling 13-year-old Girl

The Central Regional Police Command has arrested a 49- year old fisherman for defiling a 13-year old girl at Mumford in Apam.
The suspect, Samuel Armah, also known as Kofi Nyan was seen in a viral video for defiling the 13-year-old girl in the Central Region.
According to a press statement issued and signed by the Acting Head of the Public Affairs Unit of the Central Regional Police Command, ASP Patrick Bentum “on October 17, 2025, about 1300 hours, the Apam District Police Command received information that on October 16, 2025, a 49-year-old fisherman by the name Samuel Armah, a.k.a Kofi Nyan, had defiled a 13-year-old girl at Mumford, a suburb of Apam”.
The statement continued that “the suspect lured the survivor into a ghetto at Mumford and defiled her”.
Police on receipt of the information proceeded to the area, and with the assistance of
Mumford task force, arrested the suspect.
The police stated that the survivor was sent to the St. Luke Catholic Hospital for examination and treatment.
The docket was however referred to the Central Regional DOVVSU, where the accused admitted to the offence and was subsequently detained.
The police said the suspect would be arraigned before court for prosecution on October 23, 2025.
“The command assures the general public that justice will be served while appealing,
especially to the people of Mumford and it environs to assist in capturing the four accomplices namely, Agoogo, Edina, Kwesi Abbam, and Agya Ankoto, who are currently at large”.
The police further appealed to any person with credible information on the suspects at large to contact the command on 18555 and 0299205854 or report at the nearest Police Station.
