Kwaprow Zongo Chief receives topmost recognition as Ecowas special envoy for diplomacy

The Chief of Kwaprow Zongo Community, H. R. E AMB Sarki Abdul Karim Dawda Chika Mayei I, has received the topmost recognition as the Ecowas Special Envoy for Diplomacy under the Islamic Council.

This recognition empowers him to contribute his quota to the advancement of the Islamic Council of Ghana.

At a swearing in Ceremony for the Kwaprow Zongo Chief, organized by the International Youth Network for United Nations Security Council Resolution, the Global President of the network, Dr. Lilian Sally Addo, revealed that H. R. E AMB Sarki Abdul Karim Dawda Chika Mayei I, had exhibited strong commitment towards Africa youth and women development.

She indicated that the network was aimed at creating leadership and capacity-building opportunities for young people.

Hence, the recognition given to the young Zongo Chief due to his good work as a philanthropist as well as empowering the youth.

In his acceptance speech, H. R. E AMB Sarki Abdul Karim Dawda Chika Mayei I, expressed appreciation to the International Youth Network for the honour, and promised to continue the work that brought him that recognition.

“I am excited to be honored continuously for my work. I appreciate my global bosses and all the International Youth Network members for their resounding support. I pray for mercy upon us for us to achieve our goals”, H. R. E AMB Sarki Abdul Karim Dawda Chika Mayei I applauded.

The Chief, who spoke to Mynewsgh.com reporter, Hajia Asana Gordon, promised to use his position as the ECOWAS Special Envoy for Diplomacy under the Islamic Council, to combat drug addiction among the youth and guide them towards a drug-free life.

He urged the youth across the globe to refrain from using illegal drugs, warning that; “it can destroy their lives”.

H. R. E AMB Sarki Abdul Karim Dawda Chika Mayei I called on Traditional rulers, Imams and opinion leaders to collaborate with him to fight  drug use in the various communities.

He promised to give women, especially single mothers a little push to enable them cater for their kids.

The Chief observed that a lot of the youth particularly females had suffered in the hands of some men, who pretended to favor women in many ways but ruined them.

R. E AMB Sarki Abdul Karim Dawda Chika Mayei I, urged women not to depend solely on men for their survival.
