The Central Regional Chairman for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Robert Kutin has asked anyone he has wronged or hurt in anyway in the course of executing his tasks as a Regional Chairman for the NPP to forgive him.
At a reconciliation engagement in Cape Coast to address grievances in the party, Mr Kutin hoped unity is the only thing that could help the party retain power.
He thus called on the rank and file of NPP to eschew all bitterness and help the party to recapture and snatch more parliamentary seats in the Central Region to propel the party’s victory in the 2024 elections.
“May we not be oblivious of the fact that, ‘breaking the eight’ goes beyond a tagline but to ensuring that we forge ahead in unity, hard work, peace, love and tolerance, knowing that, the people of Ghana count on us to turn the fortunes around for our motherland”, Chairman Kutin lamented.
“Social wound healing must be deliberate and it means, we must talk about our pains and resolve as a group to let go of them and forge ahead with a common purpose and aspiration. This affords us the opportunity to right our wrongs, better our rights and reason together as we lace our boots to break the eight”, he stated.
The Central Regional Chairman for the NPP hoped the grassroots together with past and present executives of the party would contribute towards his bid to winning the Region for the party.
The Minister for Transport, Mr. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah announced that Central Region is the key to the NPP’s victory in the 2024 election, indicating that ” Central Region decides elections”.
“Since 1992 it has been shown that any political party that wins massively in Central Region, wins power” he disclosed.
The General Secretary of NPP, Mr. Justin Frimpong Kodua commended Chairman Kutin for coming out with such a laudable idea to open spaces for people to express their concerns and hoped this would help the party to achieve its agenda of breaking the eight.
According to him, the National executives of the party will work extremely hard to bring peace and stability to make sure there is a reconciliatory process throughout the length and breath of the country.
