Inculcate good sanitation practices in children-Rev Father

The Director of Socio-economic Development for the Catholic Archdiocese of Cape Coast, Very Rev. Father Stephen Amoah Gyasi who doubles as the Chaplain for the Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU), has called on Ghanaians to inculcate into children the importance of living in a clean environment at all times.

According to him, “children are very sensitive to illnesses, and thus educating them about cleanliness and establishing early personal hygiene practices amongst them will form part of their everyday life”.

He made the call when he and his team embarked on a clean-up exercise and fed over 900 children as part of his birthday celebration at Sibinso in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

He also donated educational materials such as books, pens, mathematical sets, uniforms, foot wears, and school bags among others to the children.

The party for children is a routine initiative that began 15 years ago and it is celebrated every year on his birthday to give hope and put smiles on the faces of the less privileged children and their families.

The beneficiary children whose faces were filled with renewed hope after the party praised Rev Stephen Amoah Gyasi for the kind gesture.

They also pledged to emulate the good deeds by extending a helping hand to the underprivileged persons in society when they get the opportunity.
