Oguaa Fetu Afayhe: MTN to Host Musical Concert, Supports Traditional Council with GHC30,000

MTN Ghana has pledged to make this year’s Oguaa Fetu Afayhe a memorable one, as the company intends to host a gaming night and a musical concert on Friday and Saturday respectively at Chapel Square to entertain patrons.

The Western and Central Regional Manager for MTN, Prince Owusu Nyarko, disclosed this to the media  in Cape Coast on Wednesday, when the company donated GHC 30,000 to the Oguaa Traditional Council to support the festival.

MTN Ghana again gave the Oguaa Fetu Afahye Planning Committee GHC 40,000 to assist the activities of the festival.

“We are here today to wish the Omanhen and the people of Cape Coast a successful festival. MTN has a good relationship with the traditional council so every Afahye, we come and pay homage. We are also having a gaming night and a musical concert at Chapel Square. We are giving all our customers who are coming to Oguaa, a special data offer. All this is to make sure that we make this Afahye, a very successful one”,  Mr Owusu Nyarko stated.

He emphasized that MTN as an African company believed in culture and tradition and as such supported festivals and other cultural activities.

Saying, “we know the importance of festivals and the growth of communities. Such supports strengthen the relationship we have built with the various communities. We are here today to wish the people a very successful festival”.

Mr Owusu Nyarko maintained that “MTN is here to make sure our people celebrate the Afahye very well”.

He stated that MTN would set up at vantage points in Cape Coast with various promotions and make sure that people could buy and pay with MoMo.

“So at our various points customers  and potential customers can walk there to download the  MyMTN and MoMo App. You can buy and pay with MoMo at all the retail point in town”.

He therefore hoped Cape Coasters and Ghanaians at large would continue to embrace MTN as the number one telecom company in the country.

MTN Ghana further donated GHC 2000 worth of airtime and a drink hamper to the Oguaa Traditional Council.
